Solidary society : Introduction

From diversity. Reflection on the diversity of people, collectives, languages, values, beliefs and practices, with the aim of reducing social and economic gaps within Basque society. This goes hand in hand with the criteria for distributing common property, social aid and the articulated definition of individual rights, social rights and political responsibilities.

From power. A look at cooperation in Euskal Herria from a critical stance on the asymmetry of power which is wielded by means of unilateral, and non reciprocal, cooperation actions. In this situation, the opposing party delivers resources, in a way which has also been made invisible, which allow dominant countries to become richer. This transfer of resources made voluntarily or involuntarily by poorer countries to rich countries is denied by the latter and therefore everything that the former receives is transformed into charity with its denigrating consequences.
