EI-BSS has signed covenants with Town Councils, Institutions and private entities for the development of cultural and scientific activities, amongst which are the following:
Research scholarships
Research scholarships are awarded for the development of research that recovers certain historic, social, heritage or toponymic aspects pertaining to municipalities.
Publications
The Lankidetzan was created in 1996 to obtain the most interesting texts generated in collaboration with Town Halls and other entities. Works of research, minutes of conferences and symposiums, homages and popular songbooks are collected in its documentary fund, among other valuable materials, within a wide range of disciplines.
Scientific and technical counselling
Eusko Ikaskuntza places at the disposal of Town Councils its research and professional potential for counselling in cultural and scientific aspects.
Archives, libraries and documentation centres
The proper classification and conservation of text documents and other materials or photographs from historical funds together with all administrative documentation, and that of any private funds deposited in municipalities is carried out by means of scholarships or with the help of well-known experienced professionals.
Conferences, symposiums
EI-BSS’s long-standing expertise in this field is used to organise conferences and symposiums on matters of interest for local entities. EI-SEV takes care of all organisational and technical matters, as well as of the dissemination of such conferences and symposiums.
Courses
From matters directed specifically to municipal employees (like the management of archives) to other matters with open inscription for neighbours: specialists and teachers belonging to the various EI-BSS sections have imparted many courses of all kinds.
Heritage inventories
The artistic, monumental, ethnographic or natural heritage of the municipality is rigorously catalogued following an appropriate methodology under the supervision of a Technical Commission.
Conferences and public events
As a complement to a homage, exhibition or cultural event, EI-BSS can commission one or several specialists for conferences or public events within the municipality.
Municipal Heraldry
Many municipalities lack a coat-of-arms in accordance with heraldic norms or wish to renew their coat-of-arms to adapt them to modern times. EI-BSS can counsel the Town Council on this matter.
Dramatisations and audiovisuals
The Cinematography Section has also made Audiovisuals. EI-BSS can also organise popular shows on the historical past of the municipalities.
Exhibitions
For anniversaries or to disseminate the life and work of eminent people, EI-BSS organises exhibitions providing the technical means for that purpose and guaranteeing the scientific rigorousness and quality of the event.
